what really Kills me

So I'm looking through old photos - (see projects I added the photo I'm about to rant about there) and I see this afghan that I made --(doing the math..) 7 years ago. it looks like the one i was going to do in green should look. Like the pattern in the book that i have looks. BUT do i have this pattern. NOOOO.. Can't find it anywhere. Could I probably work it out - yes. its a knit some - slip 2 as if to knit.. well we've been thru this already but it's not the point. the point is that i"m being mocked by some higher power. because not only is my book wrong but the world is wrong and I had the answer years ago and lost it. Well if i could find this book and my "knit afghans of many colors" book I might be able to sleep tonite.. yeah not holding my breath. Could someone please come remove the gnomes from my house that keep hiding the stuff i want? Please? Thanks a bunch.I know I should give up the afghan hunt a lil and try something in 3d (like round stuff) but that all seems so scary...

Disappointment

Started the green and white afghan. Although I really like the chevron ripple pattern I don't think I can use it for this. The two afghans are going to the same house and I think the ripple is going to be HUGE. You start with 196 sets. Granted it's a pretty sharp ripple but I would like to have them closer to the same size. And the only way to do that for sure is to use the same pattern. They're different colors so that should be ok. If I had done the ripple pattern before and knew exactly what the end result looked like/ how it measured it would be different. Maybe I'll use it for that blue one I need to do.

Ta-dah

Mostly finished with my yellow and white. Only took a week. However it was a very busy week and I don't think I touched it at all Wednesday or Thursday night. Just need to tuck in the ends. Which I hate doing. But I'll do it soon. About to start on the next one but that'll have to wait til tomorrow

Ouch

So my wrist hurts. Wrist probably isn't accurate it's the area just behind my wrist and down my arm on the right side of my right arm. But the end result is still that it hurts, well aches. Tylenol/advil help but I'm looking the cause. And was thinking that because I was knitting more than I had been that knitting was the cause (its nice to have projects and time to do them again!)
Picture me crying here.. :*( where this really does seem likely I have reviewed a couple of articles online that said the size of the needles/ way you hold the work may be the cause more than the knitting. 8) I'm hoping so. I did just go to smaller needles for the yellow and white blanket... Here's to hoping...

Random

I really need a new background - all of these are taken against the back of my couch. It's dark but it's not a good solid background. Something solid or on someone even would be better. Wonder how James feels about modeling....

blogging!

Goodness I haven't posted in ages. But this seems as good a way as any to communicate.
I haven't done as much work on my projects as I'd like lately *and there are plenty of things I'd like to be doing* but I'm hoping to turn that around in the next few days. Need to get the baby blankets done - need to find out when Jess is due.. Other than that some cleaning, some cooking as needed, some much needed R&R. Would like to get the sewing machine out and running before Sarah's too big for the patterns I have. Oh well they can always head down south once she outgrows them. Need to get that ever looming denim quilt stated too. That I think is probably going to my unfinished masterpiece. Oh well i do some, Sarah maybe does some, her children and grandchildren can finish it. :) but only if i get it started.
